May 2009 The McPheeFamily - Australia

Hi Carole,
Well we're back in Australia and the jet lag has just kicked in. What better way to counter it than being back at work!

Thanks for allowing us to stay at your place. It was fantastic, and although the first day was wet, we had superb weather. We really enjoyed sitting out on the patio with wine and some of the great cheeses and other produce (such as the duck - both tinned and otherwise) we got at the markets.

The gardens are also lovely and our little boy enjoyed tramping around trying to find the elusive red squirrels.

Thanks and happy to recommend your place to other people.

Cheers

July 2007 The Green Family - England

Dear Carole, Been meaning to write to say what a great time we had at La Petite Foret, so thanks. We loved Perigueux and Bergerac (went there for Bastille Day celebrations), had some v good meals, I did lots of cycling, we all played loads of tennis and we canoed up the Vezere. So a great time was had by all. The spaciousness of the house and the gardens was also wonderful.

First time we have holidayed in the Dordogne. We'll definitely go back.

Dear Carole

We had a lovely holiday and really enjoyed staying in your house. Many thanks!

Terry did the pool regularly and we swam all but 3 days at the end when it got colder and stormier. Jacky was a great help on the middle Saturday and I paid her for the 2 hours she allocated to us.

La petite foret is really well thought out as a holiday let with the large downstairs didng room/kitchen and the comfortable outdoor living. Although it rained most days there was also a lot of sunshine so we were luckier than the UK. We found lots of good walks in the forest, and excellent simple restaurants nearby, and splashed out at Manzac at the Lion D'Or for our last outing. We were particularly excited by the wonderful strawberries we bought from the growers- off the D42, I think

Many thanks again

Lynn

23/09/06 Jo and Beverly - Oklahoma Hello Carolyn,

We had a lovely stay at La Petite Foret.
The house was just perfect...and everyone was quite comfortable. We especially enjoyed the large downstairs kitchen and the balcony.

Villamblard is a great little village and a great location...we really enjoyed touring the countryside between Bergerac and Perigieux.

Jo

Hi Carolyn,

I ve just returned to work after a simply lovely holiday.

The villa was lovely, really really good - and just as nice as it looked in the photos! The downstairs kitchen is great, really handy to have it right on the back of the house near the pool and everything - we ate out a lot under the awning - esp as lunchtime.

The pool is lovely, as are the grounds.

Regards

Catherine(wandsworth)
